The Harvest Golf Club to offer free golf to kids during Take A Kid To The Course

Kelowna, BC – In conjunction with the NGCOA, The Harvest Golf Club will offer free golf to kids under the age of sixteen who are accompanied by a paying adult during the Take A Kid to the Course program taking place July 6-12, 2015.

Developed by the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada to encourage families and juniors to take up the game of golf, this cross-Canada campaign is designed to illustrate how easy it is to improve both your score and your relationship with your children by bringing them out to the golf course.

Kids under the age of 16 will receive a FREE green fee when accompanied by a paying adult or current member after 1:00 PM from July 6-12. Book your tee time by calling the Golf Shop (250) 862-3103. More information and all participating courses can be found at

“Golf provides kids with valuable life skills, such as perseverance, patience, and respect,” states Jeff Calderwood, CEO of the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada. “They will enjoy quality time with family and friends and experience an activity that takes them away from the computer and into the great outdoors.”

Golfstream Travel has generously donated the Grand Prize consisting of a trip for 2 to Shula’s Hotel and Golf Resort in Miami Lakes, Florida. The winner will receive airfare for two, 4 nights shared accommodation, 3 rounds of golf plus cart for two people and a daily breakfast.
